After a successful first season that attracted strong interest from engineers and students, Stålverket now broadens its focus to reach a wider audience – including customers, partners, and industry stakeholders. This season brings together leading experts, researchers, and Ovako colleagues to discuss key issues that impact the entire steel value chain.
Broader perspective, sharper questions
The new season dives into some of the most relevant and thought-provoking topics in today’s industry – from how global steelmakers can accelerate decarbonization, to why mathematics is critical for industrial innovation, and how new types of steel can change the way we build and live.
Episode titles include “A carbon-free society – mission possible?”, “Green steel in Sweden – but what about the rest of the world?”, and “Self-healing buildings and other dream projects for a steel innovator.”
“Swedish steel has made great progress in reducing emissions, but the real challenge is global,” says Anna Dansk, Head of Marketing Communications at Ovako.
“With Stålverket, we want to open up the world of steel – to show not only how advanced and innovative our industry is, but also how it connects to society at large,” says Saiva Zalkalns, Director and Head of Group Communication at Ovako.
The new episodes feature guests from World Steel Association, Jernkontoret, and other leading organizations, alongside Ovako’s own experts in sustainability and innovation.
Johanna Darlington Paues and Micke Ginal return as reporter and host, taking listeners on an engaging journey from the steel plants to the research labs.
The podcast is produced in collaboration with SplayOne.
