The podcast features experts from different areas of the Imatra mill. The episodes cover topics including the role of energy and electricity in the steel industry, safety, quality, steel products and their applications, as well as international cooperation. The podcast also explores how the Imatra mill operates within both a local and global business environment.
“Steel is present in people’s everyday lives in many different ways, but its importance often goes unnoticed. Through the podcast, we want to make the steel industry more familiar and explain how this familiar material travels from recycled steel into new products,” says Satu Tähkä, Communications Manager at Ovako Imatra.
Terästämö follows Ovako Group’s Swedish-language podcast Stålverket, which has released two seasons.
“The Imatra mill has a wealth of expertise and fascinating stories that deserve to be heard. Through conversations with our experts, Terästämö makes complex topics understandable and shows the people and expertise behind steel production”, Tähkä says.
The six-episode first season is produced in cooperation with Kronikat Tuotanto. The episodes will be available on Spotify, YouTube and Ovako’s website.
